Why Historic Structures?
November 3rd, 2015 • Falmouth, MA
On The Point, a discussion about historic preservation. Our region has significant historic resources: preserving them keeps us connected to our past and also is a draw for tourism. But preserving and maintaining historic structures is expensive and often at odds with development. Joining Mindy Todd to talk about the challenges and opportunities for preserving historical structures are Sarah Korjeff, historic preservation specialist with the Cape Cod Commission; Eric Dray, a historic preservation consultant based in Provincetown; James Ciseck, chairman of the Edgartown Historic District; Michael May, Executive Director of Nantucket Preservation Trust; and Peter McMahon, founder of Cape Cod Modern House Trust.
